Cheshire Soils & Aggregates is pleased to announce the commencement of an 11,000m³ muck shift project at Kings Moat School in Chester on behalf of Stone MC.
The project involves the excavation and movement of approximately 11,000 cubic metres of surplus material from the school development site, with all suitable material being transferred under a Material Management Plan (MMP) to the Vistry Peel Hall development in Warrington for beneficial reuse.
Sustainable Soil Reuse Through an Approved MMP
As environmental regulations continue to evolve, Material Management Plans play an increasingly important role in ensuring excavated materials can be reused responsibly and legally, reducing waste sent to landfill and supporting sustainable construction practices.
By facilitating the movement of material from Kings Moat School in Chester to the Peel Hall development in Warrington, this project demonstrates how carefully managed soil reuse can deliver both environmental and commercial benefits.
At Cheshire Soils & Aggregates, we specialise in sourcing beneficial reuse opportunities for excavated materials, helping contractors and developers reduce disposal costs while maintaining full compliance.
Supporting Local Construction Projects Across Cheshire and the North West
We would like to extend our thanks to Ian Jones and the team at Stone MC for giving us the opportunity to quote for and secure this project.
We would also like to thank Paul Sumber and Dave Andrews of PAS for their invaluable assistance in helping ensure the site was accepted and successfully approved under the Material Management Plan process.
Strong relationships and collaboration across the industry are key to delivering successful outcomes for all parties involved, and we appreciate the support received throughout the planning stages of this project.
No Sign-Up Fees. No Gimmicks. Just Practical Soil Solutions.
This project is another example of a large-scale spoil movement completed under an approved Material Management Plan without unnecessary sign-up fees, subscriptions or gimmicks.
Our approach is straightforward: connect surplus material producers with suitable receiving sites, manage the compliance process, and provide practical, cost-effective solutions that work for everyone involved.
Whether you’re managing a housing development, school project, commercial site or infrastructure scheme, Cheshire Soils & Aggregates can help identify opportunities for sustainable soil reuse across Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Warrington and the wider North West.
